For those who are only interested in a specific fandom, or fancy browsing all of my stories quickly and easily, I've linked them all into this entry. Fandoms are arranged alphabetically, and stories within each fandom are arranged from oldest at the top to newest at the bottom (so the first story in each list is the first I wrote within the fandom!). Any stories that have "New!" next to them in red have been added or updated within the last three months or so. I'll edit this list every time I upload a new story, so it will always be up to date (last updated 20th January 2019).

Any questions, comments or suggestions, gimme a shout and leave a comment!

Five and a half years.

...Five and a half years!

Well. Where to start? )

So, what am I even trying to say? Basically, I'm still alive, and I have stories to finish and post, and if I announce on here that I have stories to finish and post then it'll give me a sense of accountability and motivation to just get on with it.

I think.

Title: Hindsightklok
Fandom: Metalocalypse
Rating: PG
Genre: General
Characters/Pairing: Toki
Word Count: 449
Warnings: Brief drug reference, spoilers for season 4
Author's Notes: I've finally caught up with watching season 4. In retrospect, here's a different perspective on the season 1 episode Dethwater.
Summary: "It is the Young One. We must tell him everything."

lupinity87: (Spinal Tap)
Title: Evoke
Fandom: Spinal Tap
Rating: U
Genre: General
Characters/Pairing: David, mentions of Nigel
Word Count: 1838
Warnings: Maybe pre-slash, if your tastes are drawn that way.
Author's Notes: For the anonymous reader who requested more Tap fic last week. Ask and you shall receive! I dug up inspiration for this from the 'random' section of QuotationsPage.com.
Summary: Despite spending the first two decades of his life in this little flat, it just doesn’t register in his memory as being the same place.

When I set up this Dreamwidth account, I made no secret of the fact that my plan was to run it alongside my LiveJournal. However, with recent happenings at LiveJournal, that plan has changed - I will now be leaving LJ and will use Dreamwidth exclusively. As I type this, the LJ staff still haven't resolved The Situation or given any indication of whether they're going to or not. Even so, even if it is resolved I won't be staying there - the current issue is just one bad decision in a long line of many, which is a shame as it used to be a brilliant site.

Oh well... "The only constant is change," and all that.

Anyway, if anyone here would like to add me to their reading lists (as this looks likely to be my home for a long time!), go for it! That goes for old LJ friends and new people alike - I know that there is very much a mass exodus at the moment, so I'm all for sticking together in these troubled times!

Also, I've set up a community here - [community profile] spinaltapfanfic. Anyone is very welcome to join, and fiction is particularly welcome there as Spinal Tap has such a small fandom that stories are almost impossible to find! Having said that, non-fiction discussions related to Spinal Tap are equally welcome.

lupinity87: (Blackadder Goes Forth)
Title: All Things Equal
Fandom: Blackadder Goes Forth
Rating: U
Genre: Tragedy
Characters/Pairing: Kevin Darling, Edmund Blackadder
Word Count: 905
Warnings: No major warnings, but it's a sad one.
Author's Notes: For the final episode, Goodbyeee - it almost seems pointless writing fanfiction because the original episode was perfect in every way. Of course, anyone who can watch the end without crying is dead inside, but it's when Melchett sends Darling to the front line that starts me off.
Summary: It's funny how the things one holds as important can change in little more than the blink of an eye.

As a newbie to Dreamwidth, I feel that I should make an introduction post! I'm Loopy (as a nickname and as an adjective), known across the internet as Lupinity87, and I write... sometimes. I'm a bit of a nerd for old british tv programmes (which may become more apparent in the future). I also tend to write a lot of Spinal Tap fanfiction - I am, as far as I'm aware, the most prolific author of Spinal Tap fic, which says less about my writing skills and more about how tiny the fandom is! On that note, I tend to be into a lot of smaller fandoms - and if there's no fanfiction to be found for something, I'll often have a go myself (and post it if it gets finished).

I use my local UK rating system for fiction as opposed to the US one (honestly, I've never worked out the difference between 'NC-17' and 'R'), but there's a guide in my profile if anyone's unfamiliar with it. I think it's probably quite easy to pick up. There is also general information there about content, tags, and copyrights, so it's well worth checking out.

I also have a LiveJournal page ([livejournal.com profile] lupinity87) and a fanfiction website (lupinity87.weebly.com), if you'd prefer not to read here. I've just uploaded every story from my LiveJournal to here, so anything posted before this entry, was written before I set up this account (although I've dated the entries to keep the same dates as the original uploads on LJ). Also, if you have either a LJ or DW account and would like to add me, go ahead! I'm very friendly. On that note, comments make me very happy, so feel free to leave a note if you liked (or even if you didn't like) something I wrote - if I've set this up as I meant to, anonymous comments from people without accounts are very welcome.

Finally, pull up a seat and enjoy!

Title: Extreme Makeover: Mordhaus Edition
Fandom: Metalocalypse
Rating: PG
Genre: General, humour
Characters/Pairing: The whole band and CFO
Word Count: 682
Warnings: Spoilers for Renovation Klok, a bit of language
Author's Notes: My entry for the [livejournal.com profile] brutalbusiness Beginnings are Brutal theme on LiveJournal. Inspired by a certain presenter of a certain home renovation programme describing someone's revamped house as a 'new beginning'. Heh.
Summary: Dethklok have some help renovating their home.

Title: Alive
Fandom: Metalocalypse
Rating: U
Genre: General, angst
Pairing: Nathan/Charles
Word Count: 1595
Warnings: Spoilers for Renovationklok
Author's Notes: My response to the season 3 premiere - I wrote a short story ages ago (link here) based on the season 2 finale, so I tried to follow that on while continuing the new canon (I'd recommend that you read that one before reading this). NB: Now that the series has officially given the correct spelling of CFO's surname as 'Offdensen', I'm going to go with that even though I've spelt it differently up until now!
Summary: Nathan had so many thoughts running through his head that he couldn't make any sense of the situation whatsoever.

Title: Velvet

Rating: U
Genre: General

Author's Notes: Inspired by the word 'Velvet' from my dictionary challenge.
Summary: Nigel has the 'flu.

I've been in the mood for writing but with no inspiration, so I've used quotes to get me going! It's fairly simple - I took five quotes from the 'random' page of quotationspage.com, and wrote five drabbles. Each is exactly 100 words long, which oddly enough I find more difficult than writing longer ones!

Most are slashy, but I wouldn't rate any of them as higher than PG. Oh, and I've included the quotes and who said them after each drabble.

Summary: David and Nigel spend 4th July in New York.

Title: Just Older
Fandom: Metalocalypse
Rating: PG
Genre: General, Romance
Pairing: Pickles/Charles
Word Count: 1094
Warnings: Slash
Author's Notes: Just a short one, perhaps subconsciously inspired by The Vicar Of Dibley.
Summary: Although he would never admit it aloud, he did quietly enjoy being recognised now and again after all these years.

Title: On The Road
Fandom: Spinal Tap
Rating: PG
Genre: General
Pairing: David/Nigel (implied)
Word Count: 781
Warnings: Implied slash
Author's Notes: Set around the time of the original film. Inspired by the song On Down The Road by Izzy Stradlin.
Summary: "What about you? Normal life or touring, if you had the choice?"

So, that song-meme-writing-exercise thing (whatever you want to call it) that I did a couple of entries or so ago for Spinal Tap - I decided to do it again, for Metalocalypse, focusing on Charles Ofdensen. But apparently I can't do it now - I couldn't keep to the length of the song. I kept having to stop and start and go and look for a dictionary to check whether a word actually existed and then went to make some tea and so on, so... I only actually got one of the five done in the time that the song lasted. Two of them are over 600 words, and sort of stand as short stories in their own right. Whoops.

So, think of it simply as five bits of fiction inspired by songs, as opposed to that actual thing. Because that went right out of the window. Anyway, I put snippets from the lyrics this time, obviously all the lyrics (in italics) are the property of the artists or whoever published them or whatever. I didn't write them.

The stories are all PG with hints of slash and very mild references to drug use, but nothing explicit.
